不忘初心、砥砺前行

 

                                                           - 写在马来西亚-中国企业家联合会成立五周年暨《马中企业家》杂志创刊2周年之际 - 

 

      《马中企业家》杂志二岁了。二年来,作为在马中资机构唯一发行的中英文杂志,《马中企业家》承载着宣介中企、促进马中友好的梦想不断努力、不断尝试,逐步取得大家的认可和好评。

 

       作为马来西亚-中国企业家联合会的官方杂志,它和姐妹刊物《马中透视》英文报纸及中英马来三语新闻APPs, 不断向马来西亚不同社会群体传递中资企业和马中友好的正面信息,为在大马树立中国企业家的形象作出了宝贵的尝试和努力,也同时开创了中资社团自我宣介的先河。

 

       一带一路倡议下,越来越多的中资企业走出国门、落户海外。中资企业在当地投资兴业,为当地社会的发展作出了很大的贡献;但是不少中资企业由于忽视在当地的宣传和社会公益形象,导致在当地没有收到应有的公平对待和合理的竞争机会,也有些企业由于缺乏和本地媒体打交道的经验,原本是好事却收到了反面的效果等等。种种迹象表明,在马中资企业在“入乡随俗接地气”方面仍需要好好努力、继续耕耘。 在此,我也呼吁在马中资企业积极主动展示自己,利用当地社会接受的方式和渠道讲好中国故事、传递中国好声音,为自身企业也同时为中资企业整体形象做好应有的本份。

 

       马来西亚是一个多元种族的国家,除了占国家20%多的华人之外,还有人口近70%的马来族群和其他族群。中资企业除了要在华人社会做好功课,还要在主流社群传递信息,得到主流社会的认可才能达到真正属地化的认可;也只有这样,我们才能长期在这里长期生存、稳定发展。

 

       马中企业家联合会在过去五年来,不断创新、不懈努力,我们走基层接地气,创办杂志、发行报纸、举办展览,以灵活多样接地气的方式宣传中国企业,促进马中友好。马中企业家联合会的活动受到马来西亚首相的肯定、副首相的亲临支持、马来皇室、内阁部长们及中国大使都到场打气,马中两国媒体给予大力报道和肯定等等,这些都是马来西亚社会对中资企业的高度认可与支持,也是对马中友好的高度肯定与支持。马中企业家联合会为在马如何经营和发展一个商会组织提供了宝贵的参考教材,值得在马中资社团和机构参考和学习。

 

      不忘初心、砥砺前行,马中企业家联合会将继续努力、不断提升,与有志之士携手同行,为宣介中资企业和促进马中友好添砖加瓦。

Message from President

 

 

I congratulate PUCM's fantastic 5th anniversary and  Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs magazine (MCE) for its tremendous  2nd Anniversary. 

 

As the only Chinese and English bilingual magazine published by China community  in Malaysia, MCE has been carrying  the dream of promoting  Chinese companies and Malaysia-China friendship, and making continuous efforts, which gained universal  recognition and praise  in past 2 years.

 

As the official magazine of PUCM, MCE and its sister publications of 'Malaysia-China Insight”  English newspapers and Chinese-English-Malay trilingual news apps continue to convey positive messages  to different social groups in Malaysia and  making valuable attempts and efforts to present  a good  image of China National  to local Malaysian society , which  I think it worth being encouraged and praised .

 

Under the Belt and Road Initiative, more and more Chinese companies have gone abroad and settled down overseas. They  have invested  locally and  made great contributions to the development of the local society.  However, quite numbers of them  have not received the fair and reasonable treatment they deserved due to neglecting the local publicity and finally lost a fair competition opportunities; and some of  them, due to their lack of experience in dealing with local media, have turned out to be good things but have received negative results. Many cases  indicated that Chinese companies   in Malaysia need to work harder to present themselves and adapt to  the local rules and culture of the country. Hereby , I  call on Chinese companies in Malaysia to proactively present  themselves by locally recoganised  methods and channels to tell some Chinese stories.   

 

Malaysia is a multi-ethnic nation. In addition to more than 20% of the Chinese population in the country, there are also nearly 70%  Malays and other ethnic groups.   Apart from recognition of local Chinese, Chinese companies also need to have frequent interactions with local Malays and other societies to keep ourselves a long term and sustainable development in Malaysia.   

 

PUCM has been actively promoting Chinese companies and communicating with the local community through such creative methods as shooting Chinese New Year and Hari Raya video clips, holding seminars and forums, Smart  technology trade exhibition,  interacting with the Bumi-putera community and holding charity events. PUCM also interacts regularly with local and international media.

 

PUCM felt blessed that Prime Minister of Malaysia gave his support through congratulation to 1st China Smart technology Trade Exhibition , and deputy prime minister , Malay royalty , cabinet ministers and China Ambassador all showed their encouragement by attending PUCM’s various events, which is not the recognition from local society but also a good textbook for other China communities in Malaysia.

 

I wish MCE and its sister media MCI Newspapers and News apps a better year ahead , and a better future for Chinese companies in Malaysia.

 

Let’s work together for a better and closer Malaysia-China relations and corporation.
